Communications Services' BORIS and Service Locator applications are normally available for use 24 hours per day, except for planned outages and unplanned equipment failures. Because both applications use UCSB Computer Center facilities and databases for authentication of Com-Plete UserIDs and passwords and of PERM and PIN numbers, users cannot log in when the Computer Center's systems are unavailable. The current schedule for Computer Center planned outages is as follows; all times are Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight Savings Times.
Times When Computer Center Databases May Not Be Available
- 7:00pm to midnight every Friday for backups of databases and other systems. This work will definitely prevent you from logging in.
- 5:00am to 7:30am every day for systems development and maintenance work, but this work may not affect your ability to log in.
- 5:00am to 6:00pm every Sunday for maintenance of databases, but this work may not affect your ability to log in.
