Courtesy telephones are placed in public areas for the use of anyone who wishes to use them. They are paid for by the department who wishes to make them available.
Courtesy telephones are restricted to campus-only calling. They may also be configured in "ring-down" mode to call only one number.
Getting Courtesy Telephone Service
Courtesy telephones are ordered just like any new telephone service, and the cost is the same as a standard telephone line.
To order courtesy telephone service, an individual with signature authority for the account to be charged should send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email should describe the request in as much detail as possible, and include the account number to which the service will be charged.
